Anyway, the first 52 minutes of the movie are a little unusual. There's little to no dialogue, and you watch a robot left on Earth run about and do his daily stuff --housecleaning, watching TV, the whole bit. I could understand it being a little dull for some of you, but he's a relatively cute robot overall.
Finally, after the appearance of Eve and a symbolic impregnation of her with a plant in a boot, we are whisked off to the more action-filled and, well, entertaining portion of the movie.
I won't give away the rest for those of you who still haven't seen it, but it's a cute movie with a strong message. Don't treat the Earth like crap, people. The latter half of the movie definitely had me laughing, and I was left with an overall pleasant feeling and a desire to water my basil seeds.
Happy viewing.
didn't think about the boot bit, nice.
ReplyDeleteyeah it definitely got flak for pitting the future of mankind as a bunch of fatties (which is so far from the truth, right???)
