Caught Red Handed

Is anyone else as mesmerized as I am by these post earrings at Caught Red Handed? I cannot stop staring.

Mixbaby

I've been a little bit obsessively watching What Not to Wear, and I started questioning whether or not I should wear headbands. Am I getting too old for them? Are the sufficiently sophisticated? And then I stumble on Mixbaby's shop in my favorite's list, and all of a sudden want to star in my own retro photo shoot.

What do you think? I mean, I could definitely rock one of these while cleaning my house, that's for sure.

P.S. Terri, the mastermind behind this fabulous shop, has her MA in Fashion Merchandising and works as an engineering tech in her day job. Color me impressed!

Rain's End

Keeping in line with the wedding theme from yesterday are these adorable wedding accessories from Rain's End. I know, birds have been done. But I refuse to ignore a good thing when I see it.

And this has nothing to do with weddings, but I couldn't resist a pottery chicken inspired by the artist's very own backyard chickens. Happy shopping!

Twigs & Honey

Twigs & Honey is by no means an undiscovered shop, but in a world full of big box stores, a successful tiny business makes me sigh in relief. Myra sells the most gorgeous wedding accessories, and despite being married, I still kinda want a few of them (an unsung danger of eloping).

With wedding season in the not-so-distant future, I'm sure a few ladies will find this a tantalizing prospect. Keep in mind that her current turnaround time for made to order items is 3-7 weeks, so don't wait too long!

Tiny Hands International

Sometimes I want to go shopping and feel completely guiltless. I want to support something good -- and maybe that's why I end up looking at Etsy so often -- because I like to support small businesses and encourage entrepreneurship. I like to feel like my money is voting for something positive. But charities are good too, and sometimes I forget that when I'm feeling like shopping, I can spend my money at a charity.

I learned about Tiny Hands International from a do-good crafty blog, Tiggy's House. They're focused on helping orphaned children, sex-trafficking victims, and the empowerment of women. Their current goal is to build a self-sustaining "dream center" in Nepal, where they can have homes for a few families, as well as a school, medical center, and dental center that can serve the surrounding community.

If it sounds like the kind of thing you'd like to support, you can always just donate outright. But if you're a more shopping-inclined individual, you can always take a look at the shop and (added bonus) know that your money is going to help support something a little bigger than usual. In case you're wondering, 100% of the proceeds go to support the charity, and all products are made handmade locally in Nepal. Here are some of my favorites:

Loving this jewelry for beachy summers. Happy shopping!

Savor

I've spent most of the past year immersed in graduate school, but I have successfully come out the other side and once again feel like blogging -- the best news is, I have a lot of fun stuff to share after so much time gathering new favorites.

Looking back into the depths of my favorites list, I found savor, a little skin care shop that I've admired, but never ordered from before. I quickly corrected that by ordering a set (or two...) of her body mist samples. I'm such a huge fragrance fan -- candles, incense, body sprays, perfumes -- that I really couldn't pass it by.

The more I looked around savor, the more I learned about the shop owner, Lisa. She was featured in Etsy's Quit Your Day Job series last year and talks about how she came to start up her shop and become the productive work-at-home mommy she is today. In her interview, she also mentions her Facebook page, where she advertises her (bi)annual soap sales. "Like" savor, and you'll be alerted when her sales take place! In the mean time, here are some products to tantalize you:

Remember that Mother's day is coming up, and you can honor another mom by supporting her business. Happy shopping!

I am very much in love with this color (and have been for several years now).

b. children's wear

Oh my gosh, as if I needed one more reason to have a baby. b.children's wear has the most adorable onesies and children's clothes. Love it!

Seriously, I cannot get over these. Maybe she'll start making them in adult sizes, too, because I would totally wear these.

By the way, if you use the coupon code SNOOTEDMAY, you'll save 15% on your purchase through June 3rd!

Armour sans Anguish

One of my favorite aspects of Etsy is the abundance of talented artists. I'm especially happy when I can look back at a long-ago favorite and see that the shop is still thriving and growing. I rediscovered Amour sans Anguish, who creates gorgeous, unique clothing. An impossible task, but I've collected a few of my favorites into this post. It's worth taking a stroll through her sold orders, as well, because she does custom orders -- it's also just a pretty stroll.

Amazing, right? Happy drooling, ladies!

Creative Thursday

I love to support artists, and Creative Tuesday has some very fun (and also some functional) art. I imagine packing her little love notes all around the house for my husband to find. Wish I had known about these for Valentine's day...ah well, I can consider it early anniversary planning.

Seriously, I am a sucker for all of these things -- original art, fabric, and stationery. Now, if only I wasn't a graduate student...

Spa Therapy

When I was living in humid Japan, one of my friends gifted me with some Spa Therapy deodorant (in Summertime scent -- currently unavailable). It's the only deodorant I've really looked forward to using, and I was sad when it finally was all used up. Since my Spa Therapy stick ran out, I've tried a few other types of deodorant, but I've been left disappointed.

For those who haven't yet seen Spa Therapy, I'm happy to share with you some of the fabulous things you can get in the shop. Note: if you place an order in the next 10 days and use the coupon code snooted10, you can save 10% on your purchase!

Also, Mother's Day draws near, and I promise you can't go wrong with these items. I bet she'd even forgive you if it's a little late.

Happy Shopping, and don't forget to use SNOOTED10 to save 10% (within the next 10 days!)

Easter Giveaway: Pink Peep Bunny Earrings

I'm excited to announce my first giveaway on my blog, courtesy of The Little Schremlin! My sister actually discovered this shop on a hunt for vegetarian marshmallows. Well, we found something even more wonderful -- her peep earrings! Fewer calories and forever adorable, these little guys will remain saccharin sweet long after you've acquired them.

Win these Pink Bunny Peep Earrings!

To win these adorable earrings and make all of your friends jealous, just visit The Little Schremlin's Etsy Shop, and come back here to let me know what your favorite item is that she has in her shop! Make sure you leave me your email address in the comment box (but, I strongly recommend using the "my email address [at] bla bla bla [dot] com" format so little internet robots don't leave you spam!) Apologies, but these pink bunnies will only travel within the U.S. You're more than welcome to take a peek at The Little Schremlin's shop, but winners cannot live internationally.

The deadline to enter this giveaway is April 24, 2011 by midnight PST. I'll draw a winner on April 25th. The winner of these lucky earrings will be contacted via email and will have four days to respond, otherwise, I'll have to find these little bunnies a new owner.

Love something right now and can't wait to see if you're a winner? Just use the coupon code SNOOTED to get 10% off of your purchase. There, now we're all winners!

Best of luck to you!

Red Ruby Rose

Well, it looks like I'm officially digging back into my favorites and finding the best of the best. Today I took another look at Red Ruby Rose, which caught my eye for their beautiful clutches, but they also have some gorgeous silk scarves. What an amazing present one of these would make.

And plenty of ideas of how to wear your present to yourself...

In case you're eyeing something already, redrubyrose was kind enough to offer a 10% discount on any purchase. Just use the coupon code snooted1. Happy shopping!
