In a few minutes, the viewer is instantly caught up on years of TV series. Sure, I don't know the gory details, but I got a good idea of who the characters are, and I felt totally comfortable jumping on into the movie with the rest of the Sex and the City fans.
The movie, as you might imagine, contains a lot of sex, fashion, and frank discussions about relationships. What else would you expect from a show about four women in New York?
Despite the abundant flesh and flashy clothes, this movie is surprisingly about love. A large part of the movie seems to be about the deception of love, but Hollywood knows that we all love happy endings.
The movie made me do a lot of thinking, after all, I'm walking towards a wedding myself these days. Can marriage really be that bad? Assuming I don't get myself too caught up in my wedding dress and remember the guy I want walking next to me, I'm thinking that I can safely look forward to the next 50 years. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a really big closet, too.
